Cphkids

Another great day at CPH kids, but still more happenings to come with the launch of the brand new trend magazine FROM! The trade show has now turned into a great party venue and all exhibitors, buyers and friends are gathered to celebrate. The twice a year magazine focusing on youth and culture is set to be a great success serving the Fashion Industry with a fresh perspective and lots of inspiration on what’s to come.

Tomorrow there will be more photo shoots and fashion shows to share. Stay tuned!

Premier European children’s fashion magazine, the LUNA Mag were sourcing trends for AW12 in the Fashion Capital, Copenhagen this week. Featuring great finds from various exhibitors at the CPH kids fair for a photo shoot this morning in collaboration with the CPH kids regulars, the stylist Quinee Balsov and the photographer Ditte Capion.
The young models from 1 Kid Model agency had fun wearing all the gorgeous clothes!

LUNA Mag have made their own report at the LUNA Mag Blog. We also recommend following LUNA Mag on Facebook for fashion trends and news.

CPH kids kicked off today with lots of exciting and fashion-forward brands present, among them MarMar, Macarons, Waddler, That’s not fair London, Lively, Soft Gallery, Naturino, Fuzzies, How to Kiss a Frog and Ver de Terre.

Most excited about seeing the girls from Lucky Boy Sunday and BANGBANG Copenhagen. Talking through the extensive collection of shoes with POM POM Sko totally renewed in soft leather and winter boots with 100% wool linking for staying warm and snug. Had a quick look at Petit by Sofie Schnoor and did you realise that their collection is now up to 14 years?

In other news there’s retail therapy going on at CPH kids to with my favourite Copenhagen store Normann Copenhagen treating us with a pop up store. In addition, all the exhibitors have donated utterly desirable clothes, samples and previous collections to the CPH kids bargain store Fashion for Charity where all funds will go to Red Cross’ Youth. More about this in a separate post. Anyway -hope you’ll enjoy a few snapshots from today! We are already looking forward to tomorrow!

Eva Fadeel, designer and owner of brand DYNO, has a niche all right. A wonderfully-thought-out music meets ecologically approach in her designs. The brand’s signature look is ‘cut edges, visible stitching, soft fabric and iconic prints.’ Style, high-quality and fair condition-made, as they put it themselves. As well as a goal to make clothes that ‘feel good for both body and soul.’ The newest collections is Bob Marley-inspired with warm colours and a 70′s feel to it.

EvaLotta Rickfors is one of the designer of Rickfors & Rickfors, a brand that specialises in elegant and multi-functional clothin g using organic, sustainable and/or recycled materials. Mainly collections for men and women, but also one-of-a-kind items for babies and toddlers. BambooJamas®, a collection that began with a oh-so-cute designed patented pair of PJs and now includes many other products for babies and children. It’s recognised for its colourful soft bamboo jersey material. Clue is in the title…

ZlideOn is an innovative product; that promises that you will no longer have to go through the expensive procedure of replacing a broken zip with an entirely new one. They explain, ‘you simply remove the broken slider (works with any type of zipper) with pliers and clip the ZlideOn into its place, leaving you with a fully-functional zipper.’ Very useful and forward-thinking.

The three Swedish companies; Fadeel Design with DYNO, Rickfors & Rickfors with BambooJamas® and ZipClip Solutions with ZlideOn will be sharing a stand at CPH kids. Pay them a visit at stand T1-009B   – and to find out more go to the three brands respective websites (above).

See you all very soon…

Sebra Interior starts off the new year on a very successful note.

The leading Danish business paper Børsen has, once again, awarded the pioneering and colourful brand the Gazelle Prize for exceptional, fast-paced development and growth.

The founder Mia Dela has proved especially apt at invisioning designs that were nowhere to be seen until she came along. In 2004, the longing for fun designs of better quality than what the marked had to offer drew her to create what she herself had wanted and invisioned. And we all got a re-education in multicoloured childrens’ room interior.

Today, Sebra has two in-house designers (and all in all; a team of 17 women and one man) creating wonderful items (furniture, bed linen etc.) made largely by natural materials, such as wood and cotton. It’s quite rare that a brand understands the importance of an on-going dialogue between the network of partners, customers and designers in such a degree as Sebra.

Applauds!

See for yourself via this link.

Christmas came early this year for the children at a Crisis Centre in Copenhagen.
In collaboration with Danish Red Cross Youth we decided to do something different this year – to give these children in need a wonderfully memorable christmas eve. In the spirit of the season, our exibitors donated both clothes and accessories and made it possible for us to provide every one of the 102 children at the Centre with a present.

The event was packed with every typical Danish Christmas tradition; a beautifully decorated Christmas tree, lots of gorgeous presents, live music, drinks from Little Miracles and delicious food provided by Meyer’s.

We also had a few surprises up your sleeves and had arrangered a special visit from the north pole. The whole event turned out rather special and everyone had a merry ol’ time!

Thanks to everyone who volunteered to help  – and once again to the CPH kids’ exibitors for their wonderful contributions and help. The compassion and interest was quite overwhelming and truly heartwarming!

Hanna Clavegård’s brand of denim wear I dig denim is back with a new and, as always, unfailingly impressive collection!

The SS12 collection has simple choice of colours and an all-in-all impeccable look and style to it. Made to be worn and torn!

Hanna Clavegård who really has found her niche, says this of the new collection: ‘the colours resemble the rugged Swedish coastline: salty blue, white bleached and black. Sea and granite. Colours that will fade and change and that will only look better with time.’

There is a variety of different styles and washes to choose from, so you are sure to find one that fits your style. We dig.

Available in selected stores in Europe. Visit the website for additional photos and further information.

Have a look at FUB and its designs of terrific unisex knitwear for boys and girls, aged 0-8!

Since the designer Anne-Sofie Olrik created the brand in 2006, FUB has evolved and is now being marketed internationally and sold all over Europe, and even in Japan.  FUB designs reflect how children would and ought to dress … Clothes that feel good, that is usable and fit any possible adventure they would find themselves on.

Two collections are created each year; always with their signiture stripes, timeless design and with a whole-hearted attention to the use of raw materials with no harmful chemicals.  Both the baby collection (0-1½ years), that is classic with a unique attention to detail and comfort, and with the child collection (1-8 years) that is wonderful to wear and move around in.  Made with soft organic cotton for their SS collection and the finest 100% wool for AW.
