Princesses for a day – charity event

Yesterday these threee little ladies had the time of their life, when CPH kids’ exhibitors Holly’s, Småfolk, Molo and bisgaard gave them a completely new wardrobe.

As a part of the Fashion for Charity initiative CPH kids and Børnehjælpsdagen (Childrens Aid Foundation) arranged a charity event where Sahra, Mitzy and Marie was invited to indulge in their new wardrobe.

“- It’s almost as cool as the time I met the Crown Princess, says Sahra, aged 9. She refers to the time she was chosen as flower girl for Princess Mary’s visit to the Child Welfare Day. Today, Sahra is the princess, even though it’s just for one day.

Designer outfits is something that the three girls do not have access to in their everyday lives. The girls are all living with foster families – like 15,000 other Danish children. And while the girls have wonderful foster families with security and care enough, the money is short when it comes to entertainment and clothing.

The girls were busy for an entire hour trying on new out fits, while their foster moms were trying to keep up with them.

One messy fitting room!

Photographer Timm Vladimir, ambassador for The Childrens Aid Foundation, had the girls posing like real models.
And WOW! they were just so good at posing!

Favorite outfits were chosen. And we heard that the fittings continued at home, with catwalks infront of the rest of the family.

Sahra ready to leave after a fantastic afternoon. As she said, her biggest problem was which outfit to chose next day in school.

Thanks to everyone who made this day happen! And please go to the website of The Childrens Aid Foundation to see how easily your company can help Danish children have their dreams come true – via the Dreambank (Drømmebanken).

You can also support The Childrens Aid Foundation when visiting CPH kids, all proceeds from the Charity Shop will be donated til the organization. So remember to shop a little! (how hard can that be…:-))
